Happy May from the Detroit Justice Center!
As we gear up for summer, we’re taking stock of what we’ve accomplished in the first half of 2019, and looking forward to what the rest of the year will bring. We’re excited to have new interns joining us for the summer through our movement lawyering partnership with Law For Black Lives, Ayuda Legal and Community Justice Project. This month, we co-sponsored a Mama’s Day Bailout in Michigan with our partners at Michigan Liberation, and we’re looking forward to our Father’s Day Bailout celebration next month. As the weather finally starts to warm up, we’re focused on building with our community partners and growing with our team. As always, we thank you for your continued support and look forward to sharing all we have going on.
