Lauren Broussard, Just Cities Lab Project Manager

Lauren Broussard joined the Detroit Justice Center as Project Manager with the Just Cities Lab in 2019.

Lauren is a California native and has worked in the fields of public health and public policy with government agencies, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations in Atlanta, GA, Washington, DC, New Orleans, LA, and New York. Lauren is currently a doctoral student at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. Her doctoral research examines the impact of structural discrimination on health outcomes in communities of color. Lauren completed a Master of Social Work and Master of Public Health at Tulane University.

In this new role with the Detroit Justice Center, Lauren is able to act upon her deep personal and professional commitment to dismantling systems of oppressive violence while getting to know the amazing city of Detroit.
